Aquaculture 2 is a wonderful way to make your fishing experience in the game far more entertaining. It adds more than 30 new species of fish and they all appear in different biomes, modded ones included. New fish appears in ponds, rivers, oceans: everywhere. As well as fish, this mod adds some new fishing rods and hooks with baits for them. Also, you can always fish out some trophies.
